Currently, design of complexe materials that are difficult to establish analytical models upon are highly dependent on trial-and-error process which is very low-efficiency and time-consuming. Reinforcement learning techniques can greatly speed up such process and make the design process easier. I am interested in how to set up design space, reward functions etc. to make the reinforcement learning algorithm more efficient to achieve what we desired.
